us for our November Open Day. We will be having interesting talks from
Johan Marais and Ian Engelbrecht.
Johan will give us a talk on snakes and
the courses he offers. This talk is a must, and always of interest to us
who spend a lot of time in the bush, where we come into contact with
Ian will be giving a talk on baboon
spiders. This is an opportunity for people who are nervous about spiders
to see that they are 'friendly'.
Meals will be available from our very own
caterers or bring 'n braai - bring your meat, salads, rolls, camping
chairs, etc. and enjoy a relaxing afternoon in the peaceful surroundings
of Base 4.
Open Day Programme
10h00 - Meet and greet. Free tea, coffee
and biscuits. You are also welcome to order a breakfast from the
11h00 - Report back from the chairman and committee.
11h15 - Guest speakers.
12h00 - The formal meeting closes. New members will be shown around the
Base 4 grounds and obstacle course.
13h00 - The braai fires will be ready
Bring & Braai
Bring your meat/salads/rolls etc. and camping chairs, and enjoy a relaxing day in the peaceful surroundings of Base 4.
Don't forget the Base 4 obstacle course! It is there to be used. Feel
free to take your vehicle onto the course after the meeting and
re-establish that man/machine relationship if you haven't driven the
course in a while. If you are a new member and would like to have
another member or committee member take you on the course, please let us
know. Don't go home without having a go!
Refreshments & Catering
The bar will be open for
refreshments and the shop will be open for regalia sales. Vibe Catering will be on hand to provide
a hearty breakfast so come early and enjoy the great eats available from
the kitchen. For those who want something light for lunch, Vibe has you
covered as well.
